Voicechat public waves
Here are examples of our Voicechat gadget in public waves. The first is a read only wave except for members of the Voicechat development group. The read only state prevents the Voicechat gadget from updating its state and so functionality is limited, but functions not needing state updates work such as simple recording and playing of voice messages.
The second example is a full access public wave. If you do not have a wave account or are not logged in, you participate in limited functions as an anonymous user just like the first example. If you are logged in to your wave account when this page is loaded, your first action in the gadget will add you to the wave and you will enjoy the full Voicechat functionality.
If you already have a Google account you can
log in to Wave here. You can
obtain a Google account here which gives you access to Wave. Log in to Wave and then come back to this page and reload it. If you use the login link which appears in the embedded wave you will need to back up your browser to this page. Then you can use the full Voicechat functionality in the full access wave; the read only wave will continue in restricted form. Your first use of the full access wave or the voicechat gadget in it will add you as a participant in that wave and thereafter you can access it in this page or directly in your Wave inbox.
We now have an extension installer Talk with VoiceChat Development Group. Clicking the Install button sets up a telephone icon visible during editing (if you dont see it right away, check in "more..." to the right). We suggest you start a new wave, then click the telephone icon while editing a blip. This adds the VoiceChat 10.4 gadget at that position and adds me (Brian) and our Voicechat Development group as participants in the wave so we can talk in voicechat to discuss or answer questions with you.
